Akushiba is Akiyuki Takehara's roommate and co-pilot aboard the international postal airship, the Zanbani.
Appearance[]
Akushiba is a tall, fit man with light brown skin, dark blue eyes, and long brown dreadlocks tied together in a ponytail. He wears a skin-tight, long sleeve red-violet shirt, tan cargo shorts, and black sneakers.
Personality[]
Akushiba is rude, blunt, and prone to anger.
History[]

Five years ago, Akushiba met Raigyo Tsunomata after Ahm saved him and Nakiami from turning into stone. Despite only working on the Zanbani for two months at the time, the situation left him rattled enough to consider leaving.
Biography[]
Akushiba is first seen once Nakiami heads to the hanger and violently wakes him up. He responds angrily, but quickly goes silent once he sees Nakiami begin to change her clothes. He then helps her launch out on the Beat Kayak and heads to the front with Ahm, Yunbo, and Ishu Benikawa.
Akushiba is later seen waiting for Nakiami on the docks of Sentan island, playing some sort of card game with Ahm, which he loses. Once Nakiami returns with an unconscious Akiyuki Takehara, he joins Ahm and Ishuu in the cockpit as the Zanbani takes off. He then takes it upon himself to stand guard outside Nakiami's room, armed with a bike helmet and a mop, in case Akiyuki went out of control. During this, however, Akushiba is suddenly bitten by Roppa and interrogated by Kobako and Hinokimaru on how Nakiami is. He rudely tells them to 'beat it' and gets punched right in the groin by Hinokimaru straight after.
The following day, Akushiba introduces Akiyuki to everyone and shows him around the ship. Akiyuki quickly becomes agitated during this and goes to see Ishu. Once there, he begs her to take him back to Sentan Island, but she refuses, claiming he has shown no gratitude towards Nakiami for saving his life. This angers Akiyuki and, in his anger, he awakens his Hiruko, which almost immediately attracts the attention of a Humanform. Akushiba quickly heads towards the cockpit and it is then he learns that the Humanform has captured Akiyuki. He then watches on as Nakiami saves him and Ahm notes that Akiyuki would be capable of staying with them for half a year, so long as Nakiami continues to support him.

- Pilot: He is able to steer airships into and out of a harbor and through difficult skies.
- Speed: He claims to be the fastest man alive, even going as far to say that he is able to surpass the speed of a bullet.
Relationships[]
Nakiami[]
Akushiba is shown to have feelings for Nakiami, becoming rather jealous if anyone spends any time alone with her, causing him to eavesdrop. He is also fiercely protective, often standing guard outside her room whenever she's alone with someone and becoming upset at the sight of her crying. In addition, he saves any photo with her in it, crossing out everyone else's faces. It's unknown if Nakiami is even aware of Akushiba's feelings, but it's clear that she doesn't feel the same way.
Raigyo Tsunomata[]

Akushiba and Raigyo were very good friends. The pair first met five years ago after Ahm saved the latter from turning into stone. The situation initially left Akushiba rattled enough to consider leaving the Zanbani, but during the three years Raigyo made the ship his home, the two became close. After Raigyo's return from his two year absence, he gifted Akushiba a new pin-up magazine, playfully telling him to look through it alone and in a dark place.
